Government policy framework at the state and central level influencing the developmental growth paradigm of the MSMEs are presented through pertinent Acts, Policies, Schemes, Agreements and other important reports and documents. Textiles Committee

National Programme for capacity building of textile SMEs through cluster based approach by Textiles Committee

Textiles Committee, which has transformed itself from regulation to facilitation, acts as a coordination agency in implementation of this programme. The services of various support institutions are roped to implement the programme.

While the regional offices of the Textiles Committee act as nodal offices for the concerned clusters, an experienced officer within the concerned office is designated as Cluster Development Agent (CDA) exclusively, for implementation of the programme. The CDAs provide adequate training by UNIDO and other institutions of repute. The local industry and the Support Service Institutions are also involved in the form of networking through Cluster Co-ordination Development Group (CCDG).The entire programme is envisaged to be financially self-sustaining without dependence on any funding from the Government.The impact of the programme is to be assessed periodically by adopting scientific methodology.

Agartala (Tripura), Nau Patna/Bhubaneswar (Orissa), Bhawani/Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Guntur (Andhra Pradesh), Pochampally/Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Ichalkaranji (Maharashtra),  Sangner/Jaipur (Rajasthan), Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Kannur (Kerala) Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Karur (Tamil Nadu), Kolkata (West Bengal), Ludhiana (Punjab), Rajapalayam/ Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Nagari (Andhra Pradesh), Panipat (Haryana), Salem (Tamil Nadu), Solapur (Maharashtra), Surat (Gujarat), & Tirupur (Tamil Nadu).
